( Positive Degree to Comparative Degree )
1 . Positive থেকে Comparative করার সময়
(ক) No other/ Very few ইত্যাদি উঠে যায়।
(খ) প্রদত্ত Sentence এর সর্বশেষ Subject এবং Positive Degree এর Comparative form বসে।
(গ) Than any other/ than most other বসে।
(ঘ) No other/ very few এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।
যেমনঃ
Positive Degree: No other boy in the class is as good as he.
Comparative Degree: He is better than any other boy in the class.
Positive Degree: Very few metals are as costly as gold.
Comparative Degree: Gold is costlier than most other metals .
2. As — as যুক্ত Positive Degree, Affirmative Sentence হলে ‘verb’ এর পর ‘not’বসে এবং Negative হলে ‘not’ উঠে যায়। এক্ষেত্রে Comparative form এর পর শুধু ‘than’ বসে এবং প্রথম Subject হুবহু বসে।
যেমনঃ
Positive Degree: He is as tall as his brother.
Comparative Degree: His brother is not taller than he
Positive Degree: Jamal is not as good as Rahim.
Comparative Degree: Rahim is better than Jamal.

( Positive Degree to Superlative Degree )
1 . Positive Degree কে Superlative Degree করার সময়।
(ক) প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি বসে।
(খ) Verb বসে। তারপর no other থাকলে ‘the’ এবং very few থাকলে ‘one of the ‘ বসে।
(গ) Positive Degree এর Superlative form বসে।
(ঘ) No other এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।
যেমনঃ
Positive Degree: No other boy in the class is as tall as he.
Superlative Degree: He is the tallest boy in the class.
Positive Degree: Very few boys in the village are as tall as he.
Superlative Degree: He is one of the tallest boys in the village.
